 DID NOT WORK with my Windows XP Desktop October 3, 2008
The software that comes with this is really buggy. It is NOT APPROVED by Windows/Microsoft, so when you try to install the drivers, you get this really dire-looking message saying that software may harm your computer. I have installed lots of software before, and I've never seen a message like this. It's not the usual message that you get when you try to download things from the internet or whatever.
As the instructions said, however, I ignored the message and tried to install the drivers. The software kept getting hung up on one step or another so I would only get a partial installation. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple times, but I still couldn't get it to work. At the same time, I bought the IOMEGA Wireless USB Adapter. The IOMEGA adapter works great in both my Windows 98 laptop and my Windows XP Desktop.
So the "Wireless G" goes in my Graveyard Box for Useless Computer Parts.
Not compatible for Vista September 30, 2008

I ordered this because I didn't see any description saying not compatible to Vista. It didn't work at all with my Vista Laptop. Buyers with Vista be aware.

As the title. I just got this item few minutes ago. I spent no more than 5 minutes to install the driver and set up it, then, I'm using it. Just good and easy to use.

This product delivers for its cost. Little configuration on a laptop that never had any wireless capabilities and we got it running. Kind of bad because signal strength on our wifi isn't the best but I kind of always knew that and cant blame the adapter so, so far so good.
No Vista drivers come with package September 5, 2008

I read the reviews for this product before ordering and was warned about the absence of Vista drivers. I followed the advise of one reviewer and downloaded the Vista drivers from the manufacturers web site. I received the products promptly from Amazon as usual. I went to install it with the downloaded Vista drivers but the Zip file would not open on either of my Vista computers. I downloaded them again and the same thing and again, same thing, computer says the folders are empty. Well, I search the web high and low to find the files I needed but to no avail. I tried the program that came with the product but no good, wont work. My advice, before ordering this item, download the files for Vista and actually open them and make sure the program runs, otherwise you'll waste your time and add to your frustrations. I can't believe that this company does not supply the proper drivers with the product, it's not like Vista is brand new on the market and no one is using it......
I ordered another brand, I'll write a review on that one too when it arrives.
