CCNP BCMSN Official Exam Certification Guide September 24, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Haven't finished the book yet, but so far not that great. The writting does not keep your attention, but maybe it will get better. Have only gone through 2 chapters so far.
Could have been better. September 21, 2007 This was the only source I used for the exam. While it did a pretty good job at covering everything, I did notice questions on the exam that I know for a fact were not covered in the book. I'm not sure if those questions counted toward my score, but I do believe I answered them correctly anyhow. The CD that came with the book was a waste of time. The quiz chapters were out of order and had some content that wasn't even in the book (Multicasting amongst other things.) I am hoping for better quality out of the BCSI book I'm about to read.
May not be enough to pass the BCMSN Exam September 17, 2007 A good text, overall, but a test taker of the new BCMSN exam may need additional resources to pass this exam. I took and passed the exam after extensive study, and found 10-12 wireless questions on the examination in addition to the switching topics.
Great Book if you know about WLANS June 1, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I studied using this book for only 3 months and I scored 825 on the exam. Great book if you already know a bit about WLANS. The wireless section doesn't give enough details about the Cisco's Unified Wireless Network and the practice questions are not a challenge.
Great as a study guide, but not as cram material.... May 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is hopelessly overly wordy at times, as if the author was attempting to increase page count. I firmly believe I could condense the book down by 100 pages or more. However, if you have plenty of time, this is an exhaustive examination of everything BCMSN related. I found VERY few errors in the material, and none in the test yourself questions.
