3 out of 5 stars Very Nice...but   August 9, 2007

Since Im a bit obsessional about my iPhone (who isnt who actually owns one) I have 4 different cases for it.

This one is beautifully made and works very well.
My issues with the case are these:
The corners are cut away. Problem with that is the corners of this device are VERY vulnerable.
I dropped my phone while it was in a Speck Skin case. The power button was damaged because the switch which is on the corner took the impact.
I want a case that truly protects the phone.
I also bought an InCase leather iPhone case. I love this case. It's very slim and it covers the corners and it is hipper looking than the DLO.
The DLO is a bit conservative in it's looks.
Great if you wear wing-tip shoes. I dont.

The Speck skin case uses a clip to hold the phone. Bad idea. My phone popped out of that clip and I wound up having to get my phone repaired. (for $280 all together) Dont buy that case.

So the DLO is a beautiful case.
It's just not my personal style and I worry about those corners.
It's largely a subjective call when it comes to picking a case but I highly recommend the InCase cases.

5 out of 5 stars Quality Speaks for Itself   August 9, 2007

This case is well made and well constructed. Best case I've come across as a cellular and iPhone owner.

5 out of 5 stars That's what I'm talking about!   July 29, 2007

If you're looking for holster-style belt clip for your iPhone, look no further. The DLO Holster works great, and feels great, too. (My first case with belt clip was from Speck, which dug uncomfortably into my side.) There is also a cutout to allow moving the iPhone from holster to hand and back again without unplugging the headset; very handy if you need to look at the display while talking on the phone or listening to music.

4 out of 5 stars Good Quality, decent price.   July 29, 2007

I picked one up at the AT & T store. I would prefer a "gel" or "skin" for my iPhone, but AT & T didn't have one in stock, and I was tired of not having a suitable case. The leather case fits well, and keeps the phone postioned vertically so it's not too bulky if you wear it as a belt clip. It's not too bulky for just sticking in my purse.

2 out of 5 stars Nicely made but exposes iPhone to damage   July 13, 2007

The iPhone really needs a horizontal case like this one. It's a bit long and wearing it on your hip vertically makes it uncomfortable and unwieldy when you sit down. Whereas a vertical case eliminated this problem. In terms of looks, I feel horizontal and vertical both look equally as cool but a horizontal case is a lot more convenient, at least to me.

This DLO case is nicely made and seems durable but unfortunetly, there is a flaw in the design: the exposed open parts can make your iPhone very vunerable to scratches. I noticed a fairly deep scratch on the back of my iPhone right where the middle opening on this case is. It could have happened from a zipper, metal button or most probably from a rivet on my jeans coming in contact with the back of the iPhone through the slot. I am switching to another case that covers more of the iPhone.

Just a side note about rubber iPhone cases: I don't like the feel of the rubber cases at all-they feel weird in the hand. And the rubber cases tend to stretch out over time and this lets in dust and grit which can scratch the iPhone. Also Apple recommends you not charge the iPhone will in a rubber case because the heat will not be able to dissipate. This means you have to keep taking it out of the rubber case and putting it back in every time you charge. You can see that these types of cases are less than ideal.
