4 out of 5 stars 7300 Review   November 19, 2008

Easy to use with good quality results but it can be a time-consuming process. Probaby not the best for someone with thousands of 35mm negatives to process as there is no "batch processing"...

4 out of 5 stars Plustek 7300 - Great Value   September 30, 2008

This is a great 35mm slide scanner for the money ($230). I am sure there are better slide scanners on the market, but they are several hundreds of dollars more. I found the Plustek 7300 pretty easy to set up and load the software. The software is a little challenging if you want to scan and edit to perfestion, but for someone who just wants to digitizes his/her 35mm slide it is great. It is a little slow, about 1 minnute to prescan and about 2 minutes to do a full scan. The highest resolution takes 4-6 minutes, if you really wnt deal. I have over 3200 slides to scan so this is becoming a career path for the next few months.

4 out of 5 stars Superb for the price   May 18, 2008

As with any scanner, you have to do some post-scan adjustment in Photoshop. If you're not prepared to do that, don't bother to buy this or any film scanner, but pay a professional to scan and manipulate your slides and negatives.

The software is excellent but not the easiest to use. If you can deal with the learning curve, you'll be pleased with the results from this reasonably priced scanner.
