 Okay recorder, but it broke November 28, 2008
The recorder worked fine, but it broke after four months. I never dropped it, never got it wet, never did anything to it that should have made its life difficult, but it broke anyway. For the money, I expected it to be a little better quality.

This recorder is very light, small enough to fit in your pocket or purse and easy to use. The sound quality is good and the software that comes with it is simple with a good help section if you want to do something more advanced.

The product works as advertised. Only complaint is the position of the control that makes it easy accidental operation, especially if kept in the pocket.

Don't waste your money on this. I thought because it was sony it had to be good, but I was wrong. The microphone sucks and the speaker is distorted.

I purchased one digital voice recorder (about $100)at spy-tro???.com. In that case, it was not working. The LCD display was frozen (not working). Even recording quailty was really terrible. However, this SONY voice recorder (less than $60) is very good within a few feet under no-noise conditions. I can say this gives you better voice quality than the price.
This has very simple functions to handle it. Some recorders are very complicated with many many functions and higher price, but I don't want to have that thing because some people like simple things with cheaper price. Not excellent, but very good.
