 Didn't work on Windows 2008 November 1, 2008
I tried to use this as an extra lan segment on a Windows 2008 server. The drivers seemed to load but never passed traffic. The $12 TrendNet USB-Ethernet dongle I have does work on Win2008, but is way slow (like only 5 mpbs).

I wanted a gigabit adapter that didn't require me to take apart my computer. ..and here it is. Installation was a snap. One thing you should know before purchasing is speed limitations with USB 2.0. USB 2.0 has a maximum transfer rate of 480mbps. What does this mean?...you won't be able to get the full 1000mbps that gigabit has to offer. 480mbps is plenty fast though!
