 Works as advertised August 28, 2008
I would certainly recommend this GPS mount for Garmin. I've been using it for over a month now and it's never moved, shifted, etc. during hard breaking or turning. It looks and sounds deceiving in concept but does the job quite well. I couldn't give it a full 5 stars as the circumference of the pad is a bit large. It does fine in my car but I'd caution anybody that has a narrow or strangley shaped dash.

This product was a great idea. Its heavy enough to sit on the dash without sliding around. Plus you can pick up the whole thing & put it in the console so it is out of sight when parked.

Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount for Nuevi Series and StreetPilot C5XX Series GPS Navigators (C530, C550 and C580) I am so pleased with this product as it stays put on my dash while driving and I can remove it easily to prevent temptation to car thieves. It is a definite improvement over the original suction cup mount.

This is the best solution to eliminate the constantly falling windshield suction cup mount. It also eliminates the marks left by the suction cup to let thieves know you own a GPS. The mobility of this mount is great! Overall - A+!
