Product Description Open Air Design / Wide Band Comfort / Excellent Bass Response
Amazon.com Product Description Take your music on the run with Panasonic's lightweight, low-cost RP-HT21 over-ear headphones. Their large, 30 mm diaphragms offer full-bodied sound free of the harshness and discomfort that usually accompany earbud-style earphones. The headphones' open-air design minimizes adverse resonances, and Panasonic's XBS acoustic ports naturally emphasize bass frequencies for rich sound from nearly any source. The Absolute Best Bang for your Buck October 8, 2008 Value: 5/5 Comfort: 5/5 Sound Quality: 3.5/5 Bass: 3/5 Durability: 4.5/5 Isolation: 2.5/5 Volume Sensitivity: 3/5
For a $3 pair of nice, superbly comfortable, clear sounding headphones with some bass that you can feel, no other headphones will offer the value you will get for this one.
Yes, for $15 the Koss KSC75 does sound better but comfort goes down quite a lot with those as they're ear-clip headphones that don't want to stay on your head whilst you move and the ear clips are easy to lose, so you're sacrificing durability and comfort for sound quality.
Yes, for $50 the Sennheiser px100 does sound better, offer richer bass, and better volume sensitivity, but it's 15 times the price of these headphones. If you have the money though, they are an upgrade from the RP-HT21.
I like the clear, fun sound from the RP-HT21 and the nice punchy bass that you can feel hitting your ears. And I especially LOVE its comfort. Take my advice and take off the pads that come with the headphones and wear them raw - not only does this make the sound clearer and the bass punchier, but your ears will stay cool and comfortable also. I can wear these for 8+ hours and even sleep with them on. I once steped on them and a driver popped out, but you just pop them back in and they're good as new. The drivers themselves vertically adjust to your ears to add to the comfort. I've owned these for a year now and these still sound and feel as great as day 1. Comes with an adequate 4-foot portable cord, and looks nice. It's a small thing, but I also like that it has an L-shaped plug. Yes, these are open headphones with no noise cancellation feature so they leak a bit of sound, but only enough so that the people really nearby can hear muffled if the volume is too high. And they don't block outside noise too well, but you must sacrifice comfort and style and get some huge closed headphones if you need to block outside noise.
Still probably the best $3 you will ever spend.
Fantastic October 7, 2008 I think this is one of the best headphones compared to its price, the deep bass and clear sound really makes your listening enjoyable, i bought thiz headphone as a temporary solution, because i was planning to buy good quality headphones for around 50-100, but i am 100 per cent satisfied with the sound quality of this product, i recommend it to everyone who is searching for hi-quality sound and affordable price...
light-weight, great price. September 15, 2008 this light-weight headphone is a great value- portable, and ideal for the gym or outside walks.
Troublesome at first. September 13, 2008 I read about the great sound quality even though the product is very cheap so I decided to get it. When it first arrived, it looked like those really cheap ones at the store that you can get for $1.00 so I was hesitant at first. Then, when I plugged it in, it only worked in one ear. That frightened me and I was about to hate this product. However, after moving it around a bit, it worked in two ears. Now, the product works really well and I've really enjoyed using them. However, the sound is not as loud as other earphones can be but for this price, who's complaining?
