Email Archiving and Internet Content Recording is a must -- the freedom9 freeGuard Capture 1000 works perfectly March 11, 2008

To be honest, we couldn't afford any of the competitive products. All the other Email archiving and internet content recording appliances are out of the reach of smaller corporations. It's fine if you're a big school board or a mega corp, but for the real world entrepreneur to shop the more expensive appliances, but in my opinion, why bother. The freedom9 freeGuard Capture 1000 is a plain box, true, but it's beyond full featured, at least for our corporate needs. Our needs aren't insubstantial: At Persona http://www.personaco.com -- we're extremely active in blog marketing (www.blogertize.com) for our larger clients (we manage big blog marketing, podcasting and internet marketing campaigns for 48 very sizable clients). The tech support is fantastic, even for techno-dummies like myself. What a way-cool device. It records all emails, HTTP, SMTP, POP3, even instant messages and web content. We no longer have to record the blog posting activity. It's all recorded. Liability is another big reason to use the freeGuard 1000. I feel really comfortable knowing everything is archived and backed up. We did look at the bigger players, but you can easily get into BMW car price tags, so the freedom9 appliance was a good fit for us. It's been trouble free. Very easy to manage and administer. Tech support is beyond great. I highly recommend this for any company of 8 employees up to several hundred, just for piece of mind, not to mention efficiency. We also use freedom 9's freeGuard 100 firewall, so we knew the quality would be good. But it's the price tag of the freeGuard Capture 1000 that sold us. It's a fraction of the price of most competitors.
