This 5115 supervisory module is required for full manageability by models 5005N, 5000NT and 5005CF. It stores configuration data for the installed modules.If a unit fails the replacement automatically assumes its characteristics without reconfiguring the network manager. The module retains module configurations through power cycles and hardware. The module is swapping for trouble free operation and provides service port for access and control of the chassis. The module performs non-disruptive chassis diagnostics via connection to the service port. It also maintains message and error log of key chassis events.
