Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 is more than just the world's most popular and powerful Web design tool: As part of Creative Suite 3 (which includes Photoshop CS3 and Flash CS3), it's a key component of an overall Web design workflow that encourages users to rely on all of their applications to seamlessly create graphically rich content for the Web and motion graphics. This information- and image-packed guide lets users get right down to work by focusing on the Dreamweaver CS3 features they're most likely to use, including Spry framework for Ajax and Spry widgets and effects, and Absolute Placement objects; the book showcases each in a stand-alone tip, complete with a relevant hint or two and helpful screenshot. This is how readers can learn just what they need to know, exploring the program at their own pace, exploring just the features and tools they need.

5 out of 5 stars A Quick Reference   July 19, 2008
This book is fantastatic as a quick reference. It gives you answers in short time. For example: if you want to do "this", press "this", "this" and then "this" and it's done. However, it must be stressed that I'd recommend buying another book--one that is more thorough in explaining how to use Dreaweaver to build and manage a web site--in addition to this one--unless you are already proficient in HTML and a previous version of Dreamweaver.

4 out of 5 stars great source for info!   July 18, 2008
I teach Adobe's DreamWeaver CS3 to high school students. Every now and then, I get a question that I have to "postpone" until I can conduct a little research. The first book I choose from the ig shelf of programming is Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques (How-Tos)!

Kudos to the authors - clear and concise answers to fairly frequent DreamWeaver users' questions.

5 out of 5 stars Highly recommend it   May 8, 2008

I own this book but haven't read it yet. I'm in the process of learning Photoshop and Illustrator CS3. However I can say that this is an excellent series of books. I started out with Photoshop and went on to study Illustrator, Dreamweaver is next. The books are less then a quarter of the size of all the other instructional books out there but packs ten times the easy to read and understand knowledge. I highly recommend it!

4 out of 5 stars It was truly good but daaa....   March 12, 2008

I was satisfied especially in the table sections. Most book set aside about building up a well-organized structured tables. Well, this book straight ahead solve the problem. You'll be happy when you now know how professional looking web sites structure their tables. But the 'Frame' part is certainly is a non-understandable as the author might think using frames is not appropriate in today world web design. But anyway, I just let that slip by because as a designer, I know Frames sometimes lead to confusion. I feel great after owning this book and start picturing David Karlins as one of the top designer related to Adobe / Macromedia. But then daaa....when I open up his website, the picture suddenly pulled away!..Hey David, check out under 'Consulting/ Design' in your website. You misplace the structure somehow and it look kind of...messed up. People who used large screen (1680 x 1050) will notice this. On the other hand, your website is out of date...I'm sorry, I got to be honest. It doesn't match the CS3 concept, if you know what I mean. But your knowledge great there, inside this book.

5 out of 5 stars A Great "HOW TO" book for Dreamweaver CS3   January 28, 2008

This book has been a great help for me while switching from Frontpage to Dreamweaver. The book is very clear in illustration and detail and was useful in the immediate set up of my website. I work with all Adobe products and this was my last learning curve - made easy with this book.
Thanks, R. Grant
