From the supplier: Technological innovations in the communications and computer industries can enable companies to develop global security monitoring systems. However, questions over their viability remain as existing computer networks lack compatibility with the security industry's intelligent controllers. This incompatibility extends to both transmission standards as well as fire and safety codes. Still, these conceptual problems may be overcome provided there is cooperation between corporate communications and security staffs.
