Excellent training resource... August 20, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book did an excellent job of preparing me for the MCSE Windows NT 4.0 Workstation exam. This book was my sole resource and I passed the exam easily.
Straight to the point February 27, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book would be great for people just starting with Windows NT. Its straight to the point, so its easy to understand!
Great book for beginners! February 12, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is an excellent start for people who are new to Windows NT. If you consider yourself a subject-matter expert in Windows 95/98, then this book is not for you. (You're no dummy!) I am using this book as a prerequisite for a computer programming course. It explains many complicated 'Microsoftisms' in plain English. Read and re-read this book, then add the line "Proficient in Windows NT 4" on to your resume!
DISAPPOINTING December 5, 1998 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you have a basic knowledge of Windows and are considering Windows NT, Windows NT 4 will most likely NOT be much help. A few years back the 'Dummies' books were really quite good, I can not say this about Windows NT 4. I have purchased several 'Dummies' books and up to this one I can say they were worth the money ... save your money, there are much better books.
