I wanted to move to NT and this book helps! February 19, 2000 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Like the Macintosh/PC debate, the NetWare NT debate will always cause heated opinions. I wanted to move to NT and I'm glad I did. NT is a much better NOS in my opinion and this book helped me!
You must be kidding! January 5, 2000 I want the book titled migrating from NT to Novell Netware 5! I cannot see anyone in their right mind going the other direction!
This Whole Book is Absurd December 23, 1999 3 out of 12 found this review helpful
Migrate from NetWare to Windows NT? Who in their right mind would even consider such a move, now that we have had the best part of three years to compare NetWare 4.11/4.2/5.0 with NT Server 4.0.This book presents a formula for disaster, and in my opinion, it would now constitue actionable professional negligence on the part of any network engineer who even attempted such a migration. Of course, the integration of NT Server 4.0 into the NetWare NDS network with NDS for NT is another matter altogether. If one needs or desires NT Servers in a network, one first constructs the firm foundation of the network (NetWare NDS), and then the NT boxes are brought in with NDS for NT. Integration is the key to success on this issue. Migration is the way to disaster. Hopefully, this book will not be reprinted.
